Our Quality

World class sommeliers of the Institute of Masters of Wine have singled Hildon out as their preferred bottled water for its unique taste. It’s this specific taste that has made us the only bottled water brand ever to win the Restaurant Magazine Award for six consecutive years.

The Quality of Hildon comes from over 50 years of natural filtration through the chalk hills of the Test Valley, deep in the Hampshire countryside. Nature gave us perfection, so why would we want to change? The only change we make to our water is the gentle carbonation that is used to create our Gently Sparkling range. We simply make sure that Hildon stays as fresh as the day it was drawn from the aquifer.

Hildon Limited, having had our quality management system externally audited, by a UKAS accredited external company, are delighted to be ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified. Continually audited to ensure compliance, this achievement enables us to communicate to all our stakeholders the high standards of quality and service we believe in and deliver.

The Hildon Taste

It isn’t just our terroir that makes us different as not everyone makes the grade when it comes to being a Natural Mineral Water. Our status means we offer a consistent composition and purity so we can tell you exactly what you’re drinking – right down to the actual levels of calcium, nitrates and other special minerals our water contains. Hildon guarantees you a perfect taste every time.

Water doesn’t contain sugar, additives or calories. From leaving the aquifer to filling your glass, Hildon Natural Mineral Water is not treated or changed except for the gentle carbonation we add to put the sparkle into your Hildon Gently Sparkling. This means you can be confident that you are drinking the purest of water, just as nature intended.

Most waters contain some sodium, it’s only natural. The sodium content in Hildon Natural Mineral Water, at only 7.7mg/l, is lower than most other bottled waters.

Our bodies are made up of 60-70% water so it is important to stay hydrated in order to keep your body functioning properly. Water contributes to the maintenance of normal physical and cognitive functions also. Healthcare experts recommend we consume an average of 1 1/2 litres of water a day. A great way to measure how much fluid you are taking on board is to drink water from a bottle. For more up to date guidance on hydration recommendations see the NHS website.
