Guards Polo

Guards Polo Club – probably the most famous polo club in the world - celebrates its 65th season in 2020.

“Guards Polo Club is proud of its unique relationship with Hildon, a partnership that has been at the forefront of polo for almost three decades. In fact, polo and Hildon are synonymous with each other, both coveted brands ensuring that the legacy created by Hildon’s founder, Christian Heppe, is continued both here at Windsor Great Park and further afield. Mr Heppe was a passionate player and devoted sponsor of the game, who not only played at the highest level, but who generously supported many others in their bid to reach the pinnacle of polo success. He achieved this by creating a platform to encourage others to both play and watch this great game – the oldest team sport in the world – and today’s team at Hildon continue this legacy. Their long-standing sponsorship of the Hildon Archie David Cup tournament, one of the world’s most competitive competitions, always delivers great sport to an impressive number of players at the peak of the English polo season. Off the field, Hildon is the mineral water of choice at Guards Polo Club, served by the team from Mosimann’s of London in the Royal Box, our sponsors’ marquees and the Members’ Clubhouse – Guards Polo Club” – Brian Stein, Chairman.

Founded by HRH Prince Philip in 1955, it hosts polo from mid-April to mid-September on the stunning grass fields in Windsor Great Park. With the world’s best players listed as playing members of the Club, alongside leading Royals and rising stars of the game, Guards Polo Club can deliver unrivalled sport throughout the season.
