A refreshing touch to a 26 mile walk

On 31st May this year 1,400 intrepid walkers took on The Clarendon Way Walk to raise funds for Naomi House and Jacksplace. For the first time in its nine year history the walk began at Salisbury Cathedral. Continuing along the historic route they weaved their way across the spectacular Test Valley, taking in the beautiful villages of Houghton and Kings Somborne before finishing 26 miles later at the stunning Cathedral in Winchester. The route was turned on its head in recognition of Winchester being the home city of Naomi House and Jacksplace.

All this walking was thirsty work so we ensured the walkers and marshals stayed hydrated with Hildon Natural Mineral Water.

The walk raised valuable funds for Naomi House and Jacksplace, a charity in the South of England that provides palliative care for families with terminally ill children and young adults.

Engagement with local charities is close to our heart and as well as providing Hildon for those thirsty walkers, our own staff decided to participate.

Father and son team Dave Marsh, Security Consultant and Luke Marsh, Digital Communications Executive did their bit and completed the walk in 8 hours. Luke said “I feel so proud to have been part of this fantastic event to raise funds for such a worthy cause. It was extremely tough, but great fun”. However, he hasn’t yet said whether he will be doing it again next year!

Well done Luke and Dave!
